Default 2012 Sportster XL1200C mufflers. Any good?

This sounds a little crazy but; I was told by somebody that the stock (quiet) mufflers I got on my 2012 Sportster are going to overheat my engine causing engine problems in future. Is this true or is this guy blowing smoke? I kind of liked the rumble from the "Screamin Eagles" I had on my 2008 Sportster; but if i'm not going to harm engine with the quiet mufflers I'll leave those on.

Ask that "somebody" to show you their MMC grad cert., bike maint. credentials and documented proof they'll harm the bike...you're fine - don't listen to these "so called" bike experts.

My stockers have been in use for 17,100 miles with no issues at all.

Exactly! You gotta love how "somebody"will hear stuff like that and run with it. With no proof what so ever.

As long as you pack them with dry ice before and after each ride, you should be fine.

Why would Harley spend all that money on engineering and then put a muffler on that will harm the motor? They may not be the best (loudest) mufflers but I seriously doubt they are going to harm the machine.
