Red Line In The Tranny.....Who's Using It??
I've been running Red Line products in a lot of my "toys", including my RKC. I'm getting ready to change the fluids in my girlfriends Nightster, which will be Red Line too. My RK tranny takes different stuff having a separate primary and tranny. The Nightster recommends 75/90.
Is anyone running Red Line in their tranny and what exactly are you running? Super Lightweight Shockproof? Regular gear oil?
I'm pretty **** about what goes in my vehicles and have had great luck with their products.
Thanks in advance!!

Does the nighttrain have the clutch in the tranny. I am unfamiliar with the drive train however I think shockproof contains moly. Now that is a good thing if the tranny is separate from the clutch however if they are shared that would be very bad. Look on red-lines website and find out for sure. I use shockproof heavy in my tranny and it shifts better, easier to find neutral and I believe in the products they produce. I had amsoil in all the holes before and I like their products however I believe that a fluid should do one thing, and one thing well so I don't subscribe to the whole works in all three deal. The tranny seems to behave better with shockproof so I am sticking with it.
