Default Tire pressure?

Hi,

I'm running the stock HD Dunlop tires and I ride solo only.

What do yall put you're tire pressures at? Do you run the 41psi that the sidewall says to use? To me that seems too high but I'm not sure.

Thanks!

Use what the manual says to use. 41 or a little less sounds fine.

+1 As he said.........

Never go by the tire, That tire can be used on various bikes and they all weigh different weights.

Thanks for the replies!

I wasn't sure and I don't have a manual so I had no way to find out other than asking here.

For my bike, which is the same as yours, the manual calls for 30 front, and 36-40 rear based upon your loading, i.e. 36 for solo up to 40 for 2-up and heavy touring.

Solo I run 30/36 (or just a hair over on the gauge so I know it's actually at the right psi) and I currently have over 8000miles on my rear and it looks good for nearly twice that. The front has over 3k on it and still looks brand new.

Same here, I run 30 front and 36 rear per the 2007 manual.

Scub my rear made it to 14,650, front is still goig strong. I replaced the rear with a stock Dunlop. I'd think 41 would make the tires awful skittish with one on board..
