rickss69 that is a real nice exhaust system... unfortunately for me it looks like it only works with forward controls... And if I buy a sporty I will keep the mids... I really like riding with the mid controls.
Nope - Works with both mid and forward controls...I thought the same myself before I bought my set.
Bassani Road Rage 2into1 is hard to beat. Mid controls, frame mounted highway pegs (needed slight modification). Crackling loud and needed to tweak A/F mix quite a bit with my Power Commander 5 w/autotune. Jamie at Fuel Moto does not have a map for this combo which includes SE ham can intake w/K&N filter. This exhaust replaced SE slipon mufflers. Moves a lot of exhaust out.
Im wanting the V&H competition 2into 1 as well. it is on sale right now.
Q: can I install just the pipes w/o remap?
If I need to remap I will be going stage one AC at the same time.
Q:from these pipes I expect performance, but what should I expect for noise?

Not necessarily a re-map, even though that would work, but just buy a tuner. Cheaper in the long run.
Does Swedish Harley have catalytic converters? And do you have to pass emission tests? If yes then using aftermarket exhaust makes you pretty illegal.
Im not sure about the catalytic converters. The swedish harleydavidson.se site does not say much about the specs.
As far as I know they dont have to pass any emission test.. only a "sound" test together with a biketest to see if the brakes work, if it has all the right lights and so on. The happens every 2 years.
I went with my 07 KTM 990 Adventure to this test this year. It has the acrapovic aftermarket exhaust but with the db killers in. The test guy did not mention anything. So as long the db's are under the legal limit it will pass.
