Based on that info, Blue Book lists it between $6,517 and $7,661 for retail. I went on cycletrader.com but didn't see any listed in your area so couldn't compare.
With some haggling you should be able to get the price down by a few hundred, Good luck.
Can get plenty out of the motor with just a little work. Bumped my displacement up to 1200 (NRHS didn't have the 1250 kits available when I did mine), NRHS air cleaner, D&D bobcat exhaust, some performance cams from H-D and larger fuel injectors. Plus I sent my heads and throttle body down the road to Baisley for some modification. After quite a few hours on the Dyno I ended up breaking 100/100 although not by much. Can't find the Dyno sheet because my office is a mess but I want to say it was about 108HP and 102ft/lbs.
Whatever it takes to work a deal, sometimes you gotta pay a little more to get friend-financing. Is it still under factory warranty? I love my Iron. after all the charges through the state and dealer, I ended up at just over $9000. Good luck and welcome to the forum
The sporty is an awesome bike but again I'm a first time rider and Harley Owner. Within the first 3 mos of ownership I have done so many mods and chose to do them myself to save on the $$$. I purchased my 2010 for $6,500 with only 6 miles on it (tax free). Good luck with your purchase.
That Sportster must fly with those numbers! It's such a light bike. How does it feel compared with other bikes you've had?
It's a blast!! The off the line quickness is insane compared to almost everything I have ever owned. The only thing that was quicker was my Buell 1125R, but getting my *** on and off that thing was like unfolding a rusty lawn chair. Kinda sad though that it blows my CVO SG out of the water. May have to work on that one next so it doesn't get a complex.
