Different frame than your '96. I wanted to put it behind the seat, like an old Dyna, but it wound up in front of the seat.

No heat related issues from the rear head?

 

some people may call me dumb for this one, but I just took the key switch off and put a toggle switch hidden in the horn cover.

 

Did you install a 2 or 3 (accessory) position switch?

 

Four years and 16,000 miles, no problems.
