Default Sportster Custom Springer Build

For a while i have been working with a custom builder as he has been teaching me the works of motorcycles. recently i started building a Springer for my Sporty. As of right now i have two sets of mock ups one is a inline triple tree's and the other is a 1 inch offset triple tree. The rear legs are 6.5 inches center to center so the break caliper will clear the rear leg. i still need to design the lower rockers to complete the mock up. here are some pictures that i have. if you have any questions with it just ask ill answer to the best of my ability or ask for clarification to get you your answer. (sorry if my pics don't work it is my first picture post)

1 inch offset trees

Inline Trees

Im gonna build the final front end with the inline tree setup

Looks nicely executed so far. Why do you need the caliper to clear the legs?

that looks sweet. is there anyway you could get post a picture of a closer up of how your risers are mounted. i believe i am gonna mill down the 1.25 rear legs to 1 inch at the top and have a shoulder for my top tree to rest on and than have the risers mount right into the top of the rear leg but i cant really see how yours are mounted. also thanks for the thoughts i'm really excited now that my teacher has told me that i'm ready to start cutting steal for the project

His are mounted with basic springer riser "bolts". I made a set of bars and tried to mount them the way you're talking about but they would twist a little bit occassionally. I had to link them together.
