How much do the clear powder coat set you back? I'm planning on getting the same bare steel gas tank look

We give my powder coater a lot of work so i get a deal but:

$100 to sandblast the tank and powder coat it clear.

Also sending my rocker cover, derby cover and small thingy next to the derby cover tomorrow which i assume will be about 100-200.

He just did the the faces of my wheels (3 piece i unbolted the faces) for 200.

So it is surprisingly reasonable.

So keep in mind the Canadian version of the 48 comes with a full Sporty rear fender. So it takes me some work to get the look you guys get factory, well maybe a few inches shorter.

Before:

After:
Slammers, chopped fender, Matte Black wrap, fender edge led, custom made side mounted plate.

Having my rocker cover powder coated (along with some other parts) in the mean time doing a wire tuck. I'm not doing a tank lift because i'm not a huge fan, i prefer a low look..

Nice job

Coming along nicely. Your seat springs go under the bracket, not on top. Thats why your seat is so high looking.

I have been thinking about the 3m wrap for awhile how much did you need for your bike.

Sticky4 02-24-2012 06:15 AM

Not really. Maybe a couple yards.

I would buy 5 yards to be safe...
