Can anybody tell me if the new sportster 72 has internally wired mini apes? The HD website says that they are internally wired but every picture i see of the 72 it looks as though the wires are routed externally?

 

The one I saw had them routed outside the bar, held on by the wire clips.

 

Has Harley EVER offered internally wired bars? Doubt it.

 

The one I saw was external as well.

 

My '11 Street Bob is factory internal wired.

 

Wow, really? Never thought they did that.

 

The 72 on display at my local stealer has external wiring on the bars, I made a point of looking!

 

Yeah, but it makes it a pain to try out different bars though.

 

Yep, '07 Wideglide has them, and it was a PITA to relocate turn signals because of it.

 

I just looked at this bike yesterday, to say I'm in lust is not even close to it. Though much like everyone here seems it's hit & miss with the dealer. My dealer's 72 was NOT wired internally. If I was in love with the bars & location of the turn signals would be no issue, though I would move some of the items around to clean up the front end. So my 2cents pick one up without the internals wiring already done so you can play around with the front end till you have it "your" way.
