Default Footpeg install question.

I have a '99 Sportster 1200s w/forward Controls.
I just bought some new pegs to replace the stock round rubbers ones.

My question is: Do I install them parallel to the group, or put a little angle on them so my foot is already pointing towards the shift/rear brake?

I was thinking roughly a 45 degree angle pointing up.

I appreciate your time.

Im sure your talking for/aft angle not side to side? Mine pivot so they go to what my foot naturally fall to. You can see what angle they are in this pic after taking my foot off it.

Also consider how the peg will react if you scrape while cornering. The peg must be able to fold back vs. hanging-up.
