Default Phase 1 of my Air Force 48 complete.......for now

Finally stopped with the mods cause it was turning into a hanger queen and I couldnt stand not riding anymore. I wanted something oldtimey (not old school), decieded I was going to do a military theme. Most Ive seen do the Army green tank white star. I was in the Air Force so went that direction. Most Air Force ones Ive seen are the sharks teeth, again......................wanted something different. Something like this was my inspiration.

I was going to do the invasion stripes and all but the painters photoshop mockup just didnt look right, covered up too much of the tank. Im not done, just done for now, the rest will have to wait till next winter. Ok, Ill shut up and just post the pics. Wish I had a better camera.

On the speedo relocation did you just modify the stock mount for the dummy lights?

Yup. Just cut the speedo mount ring off the assembly, ground it smooth then repainted. Used the autometer setup on the fork.

Awesome! I love the look man, like you said it's old-timey not "old school." Very clean, but not too prettied up. Lovin that derby cover.
