Hey, just curious if any of you ever did this swap. I am curious myself what it actually entails. I have a 2007 1200 Roadster.

Sportster front axles are:
'04 thru '07 3/4"
'08 and up 25mm

Wheel hubs should all be the same. Forks will take whatever axle you have from your original bike. You can change (or have changed) bearings to match whichever axle your bike has on whatever wheel you choose.

Bump!!!

I want this thread going again. I like the idea of superlow wheels on an iron.

It looks compatible, I willing to bet that your dealer "may" know if it might fit.

Saw this thread got bumped. Never did it yet. I just got a 1250 kit and quarter fairing and chin spoiler so the wheels are gonna have to wait. I did notice though that on the super low the triples are noticeably wider. So do make it easier of a swap, might just do the triples wheels and spacers with the iron fork tubes.

Im bumping this thread again. It looks like superlow wheels will fit onto an iron. You will need mid glide trees/superlow or 48 to complete the conversion

Yes, I did it recently on mine... https://www.hdforums.com/forum/sport...ghtymouse.html

The rear is no problem, but the front will require a change to a mid glide. A little pricey, but if it's what you really want a worthy effort. Mine is a '07 and I opted to stick with the 1' rear and 3/4" front axles which presented extra problems...those with 25mm hardware will find it fairly simple.

Default 48 super low ?

Does anyone know how hard it would be to put superlow wheels on a 48?

I would expect them to be a direct replacement. You get a 4.5" wide rear rim for those custom wide tyres........
