Question '11-up XL1200C-Who's got 'em?

Mine will be in the garage end of this week (3/16 if all the mid control parts show up on time). They don't seem all that popular it seems. To me the C has a lot of the styling ques of the XL line that I like. 4.5 gal. tank, fat front end, not totally dropped to the pavement, easy reach bars, mid controls (option), 2-up seat, full rear fender and 1200 lump. Kind of like, to me, a Fat Boy mini-me that still handles well (enough). I really dig it all around. It'll be nice to be back on a Sporty!

Who else here has one? Feedback and pics welcome!

No real world pics? I have only been able to find one professional ride review on the C.

I am finding most don't like the fat front end. That is one thing I like the most. This will be my 4th H-D. Started with an Iron.....too slow. Got an XR1200 and modded the heck out of that. I just could not rid the bike of the head shake hard out of corners. Sold that and picked up an '06 VRSCR. Nice bike and I could do things on that bike that amazed people but it was just a little too big for my tastes in the long run. Plus, I missed Sportsters.

Two words, Love it. Love the fat front end, it sold it for me. I went in for a Fat Bob and walked out w a sporty. It just fit me better getting off the rice bikes. Its my first HD and have to say it wont be the last. I got it in Aug of 11' and have had many compliments of it. I truly think you wont be disappointed, the 48 is sweet but the 2.2 gal tank is a draw back in my OP.Wish you the best of luck with yours.

Sweet, thanks for sharing both the pics and feedback.

I originally went to look at a Dyna but after having the Street Rod I knew I wanted a smaller, more nimble bike under me again.

Since I was the one that started this thread looking for pics and feedback I feel obligated to share......now that the bike has been delivered. After just one short ride this bike, by far, fits very well right out of the box. The only thing I have changed is install mid controls and take the peg feelers off. I was draging those before even getting on the street. It feels like riding a bicycle it's so comfortable and all be damned if the thing doesn't spin the tire shifting into 2nd.

Got one. Love the fatty tire! Very nimble very quick (in HD terms) . I notice the tire wont wander around like a pizza cutter wheel will and feels more stable around corners. I just love the bike. Mines an '11 model and I have had it almost a year now (April )

Added a little bling to it (new pegs, grips, derby cover) Only thing left is new K&N breather with V&H or Sampson exhaust and re-map. I spent my wad on the Electra this winter already!!

I have a 2012 and LOVE it , it is my first harley - I walked into the dealer in december just to look around to kill some time. As soon as I saw my bike sitting in the showroom i feel in love with it and brought it home that same day.[IMG][/IMG]

My wife just ordered a 2012 Custom today. She is replacing her 2011 Street Glide for the Sporty. She was just not comfortable with the Street Glide and wanted something more nimble and lighter. I hope she likes the Sporty. I test rode it and loved the ride. I guess if she doesn't like it I will keep it for myself.
