Default Sportster 883 vibration

Ok, fixed one problem now a new concern. The front end of my sportster seems to have kind of a bad vibration. 2 different types of vibrations actually.
One is when it's idling, from the brakes to the handlebars seem to vibrate a lot until I squeeze the front brakes, then all goes away until I let off the front brakes.

The other is when I start to ride. When I am in first and start to go I start getting an up and down motion from the front, maybe in the forks, hard to describe, but it goes away once I get up to about 15 or 20 mph or when I give it a lot of throttle.

This is my first sportster, it's 20 years old. Is it normal to vibrate so much when idle and riding?

I got a 97 xl1200 that shakes to all hell. I'm researching ways to bring it down some but I think all and all I believe it comes with the bike

20 years old = solid mount = vibration no matter what. Keep your hands off the grips at idle until you're ready to go, then grit your teeth and go like hell, at least past 20 mph, but don't grip too tight. Also, get a girlfriend to ride with you once in a while. If she complains, then start looking for either a new bike or a new girlfriend.
