Default Tank lift, wire tuck, coil relocate

So I want to do this, but I don't want my tank super high either. I have an '11 Iron and would like to know if the 1.5 from DK would be enough to do a wire tuck w/o removing the connectors. I like the tank lift looks but some are just too tall IMO.

I think 1.5 is great, you will show more of the engine without going crazy.

A 1.5" is enough room to do a wire tuck without removing the connectors. It is tight, and will take a bit more time and patience than a 2" lift, but is definitely doable. We have done bunches of them.

Here are a couple of links with instructions on how to do a wire tuck...pictures, and a youtube video of a guy doing a Coil/Key Relo with a tank lift and wire tuck.

I have a coil relocation kit ordered from you coming to the UK (via my brother in Virginia)
I thought yoour site said that you do not need a tank lift to relocate wires etc but now your saying a 1.5" lift is gonna be tight so how tight will it be without the lift at all?
cheers

48's do not need a tank lift to do a wire tuck up into the channel.

All other sportys will need a tank lift to do a wire tuck up into the channel of the tank.

You can do a wire tuck without a tank lift on all non-48 sportys. Look at the second link above, it is a step by step on how to do it. The wires will not be in the channel, they will be along the bottom of the tank beside the backbone.

End result is pretty much the same to anyone looking at the bike without getting up close and looking under the tank.
