Default Can I run a 150 front and back on my 48

Has anyone tried this?

I'm thinking of swapping my tires for Avon Cobras, but was thinking of running a 150 on front and back.

Anyone try or see this?

Anyone know how it will effect the ride?

I run Avons on my Glide and have used them for many years. You will find they give a better ride, grip and handling, but may not last as long as stock Dunlops. As for fit the rear should go in with no problems, as it is nominally the same width as the stock tyre. At the front, measure your rear tyre and see if there is room for it in the forks. It may be close!

I've tried oversize tyres several times and what we have to be aware of is that tyre width when fitted is rarely the same as the stated size. The 150 Avon Venom on my Glide is actually 153mm wide, but I believe the V rated version is even wider. So it is not as simple as making sure you have 150mm between the forks, you may need more!

Rear tyre won't be a problem... Front tyre, it depends on the actual tyre width. You will definitely have to get rid of the front fender and you may also have to "shave" the fork boots...Check also the wheel size, if it fits the tyre that you want to install...

Both the front and rear wheels should be identical (16x3). At least mine are on the '12 C. I was thinking about popping a 150 on the front as well.

ran 08 fatboy wheels, take a look in my album.
not easy fit, need rotor spacer, two new spacers, fatbob trees.
back needs new spacers and
pulley reworked to fit.
