Default RSD Clip-ons – What length brake line to get?

Just got the Roland Sands Clip-ons installed and really like the way it rides set-up like this.

So now still need to get the brake line swapped out because I can’t leave the brake like looping over the top of the fork tube. I have searched but can’t come up with an actual measurement that has been used. I measured but would like to know what length has worked for some of you guys. Also, some feedback like what length you used and maybe you could have gone with shorter or longer brake line. With the clip-ons being so low there isn’t much room for excess like when you go with tall bars so I want to get it pretty good. Then I am going to look at clutch & throttle cables.

Here’s some pics as it sits

I used all my stock cables and brake line. No need to change it unless you want to reroute the cables

The brake line looks goofy routed over the fork tube to me. Got to attest change that one plus a stainless braided line that is shorter will give Bette brake feel.

You need the 1 piece HD front brake cable. It's like $85.

From RSD Forum:

"We recommend installing shorter cables with the clip-ons but you can get away with re-routing the stockers. We have ours made by Barnett and order -4" shorter throttle and idle cables and -8" shorter clutch cable. You will also need a shorter front brake line. a 28" long line with 20 degreee bajos on both ends will do the trick. We use Spiegler USA."

Hey Bro, I take it your a professional? Only asking as so Im I and im stuck out of the shop and without my note book and we are building an RSD cafe racer sporty for a client. I need to order the new cables and brake line in the next hour in order to get them tomorrow. You mount these often and know that the lengths are 100% correct? No time to go back a get my book!

Cheers bro!
