I'm in the process of putting together a tool kit to take on my bike as I'm now taking longer trips and have a better understanding of my bike. I didn't realize how many duplicate sets of tools I've collected over the years, so except for a set of sae wrenches, I have everything else at the house. Total cost about $10 (Harbor Freight wrenches should work in a pinch). Here's what I have, let me know what you think I should add or what I don't really need. I based it off of a set you could buy online but was too cheap to spend the money for tools I already had.
In addition I have Torque wrenches. Both in/lbs and ft/lbs. I have the torx/allen keys and the sockets. I also have a set of SEA and metric combo wrenches and their sockets. 3/8 to 1/4 converter socket. Socket extender. A breaker bar. I have an air pump too. A 6" adjustable wrench and locking and needle nose pliers. An oil filter wrench socket. A multimeter. Duct tape (duh )
I'd also like to know where you put all this stuff on the bike?. I am putting a kit together for myself and have been looking at the teardrop tool box...just not sure if it will fit on my Dyna
