2012 48
Anyone looking to buy one in the near future? What are the going rate on these bikes?

Bike is 10.5 base add 500 for a different color. 11.5 to 12k out the door.

I am going into the stealership on Thursday to talk turkey, doing my research tonight. They show one with an out the door price tag on it as 14,034 CDN. Which is way too much, going to try and get them down to around 11,500-12,000 out the door.

No I'm asking would it be cheaper for him to come stateside to get this bike and bring it back?
The dealer buys the 48 from the distributor for $8400 if anyone is curious. |

I am not too familiar with importing a brand new motorcycle into Canada. With cars/trucks you need an RIV and to jump through a bunch of hoops, so unsure how that applies to the two wheeled variety. The idea of the costs of importing one and the lengthy process is a bit of a turn off. I want a motobike, and I want it now! :p I'll be going to the stealership with MSRP and conversion rates, etc etc, and if the information about the distributor price being 8400 is true then that will be decent ammunition.

Woo double post. With a CDN MSRP of 11,917 plus security option and tax of 5%, I end up with 12,955.95, which is a vivid black bike with security option. I wonder where the extra 1078.00 bones come from with their "out the door" price tag of 14,034. With converting the price of a US bike with vivid black and security option using the MSRP to CDN then adding my 5% GST in Alberta I come out with a 11,686.97 dollar bike. 2,348 dollar difference in the "out the door" price. I don't know about bikes, but I don't think it costs 2 grand to PDI a motocycle.... Sometimes I wonder why I like being Canadian.
