Default Sick Saddles 72 Solo Seat Review

I ordered a solo seat from Sick Saddles a few weeks ago and it arrived yesterday. I installed it today and spent about an hour in the saddle. My first impression was that the seat is of high quality with excellent craftsmanship. You definitely get more than what you paid for from Ed at Sick Saddles. He will also work with you to design a custom seat for your bike.

The new seat is definitely more comfortable than the stock HD seat, but if you're looking for an all day touring seat then you will most likely have to go with a different design than the low profile solo seat that fits so well with the 72 Sporty. Since I need to stop for gas about every hour this seat work perfectly for me. It isn't too firm or too soft and provides good support. Besides being more comfortable, the Sick Saddles seat does not cause you to slide back in the seat when accelerating like the stock 72 HD seat. Also, I think this seat looks better than stock and gives the bike a custom look. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the seat and the customer service I received from Ed and look forward to putting many more miles in the saddle.

Looks good, I like the stitching. If you don't mind me asking, how much did that run you? It looks almost like an identical copy to the LePera Bare Bones I bought a couple months back.

I just got off the phone with ed, inquiring about customizing a stock seat for a road king to sit me back a little further and take the pressure off my tailbone, and what an awsomely nice guy. Shot the **** with me for a half hour and his prices are awsome. Thanks for posting this and giving me the idea.
