DK Customs Thunder Torque Inserts Review

any good tips to check for that exhaust leak as i suspect there might be. I say this because the bracket that slides over the bolts and then bolt down to secure the pipes is not flush to the head. No matter what I did I couldn't get it to go against the head because the gaskets don't allow it to go that far. I also used the screaming eagle gaskets and they are smaller than the originals because the originals weren't even close to letting it go against the head.

If you have a free flowing air cleaner, and then make your pipes free flowing, then it is important to adjust your tune (if you have not already).
Here's a link with more info on the subject- Stage I

Hey Kevin !
I got my 258's from you and installed them in my 3 1/4 dia slip-ons. This looks much better. There is now, obviously, a uniform 5/8" gap around the circumference of the centered TTI's. Thanx for the prompt delivery of my 258's and for my other items too. "Much appreciated". I tried to take a photo but my iPhone battery died from the cold. I'll post one later. Anyhow, there were 2 x 3/16" holes in the ends of the slip-ons holding in the original baffles (now removed). Having enlarged and used just one of these for each TTI, I'm left with a remaining 3/16" hole at the inward edge of each TTI. Any need to plug these with a SM screw or rivet ?
Thanx

Here is a video showing step by step what is involved, and what the results are-
Here is a video where the cut was made, completely past the taper of the slip-ons...a bit different sound, and the next larger TTI used.

It is not necessary to plug those holes, but it is preferred. A short SM screw or a button head bolt and nut will work well also.
