Here's a sound clip of my stock mufflers fitted with W258 TTI's. They sound great and perform well.

The patented "W" TTI's give the best power increase per $ spent of any mod to an HD...and to many they sound good too!

I was more worried about the fact that I was going about 12 over the speed limit when I passed the camera. The police and sheriff deputies don't stop for loud pipes here yet.
There are many pipes that are louder but they are pretty darn loud. They sound good though. My neighbors probably hate me in the mornings when I leave for work but oh well.

Well, since this thread is going on forever...I distinctly remember this sort of exhaust altering device (but just a flat washer welded on to a rotating bolt) from my earliest days of hot rodding and motorcycling 50 years ago. Ads in the back of Popular Mechanics, etc. Probably cost about $1.98 then. Cheers to DK for keeping a simple and economical idea around.
One of the things we found is that two washers in series gave excellent results - about 1.5" apart and turned at complementary 45 degree angles (one with the bottom toward the front and the other with the bottom toward the back). We weren't so much interested in the sound then but torque was excellent.
Anyone tried this with the DK "w" inserts?

Last week we had a guy stop by with a stock 2018 Softail Street Bob.
He hated how quiet it was, and was having buyers remorse about trading his '14 in for the '18.
We cut the end off the mufflers, pulled the baffles, and installed some W258's.
He could not believe how much deeper it sounded. "It sounds like a Harley now!"
Then he Rode It, and Really Liked the bump in low and mid range torque!
Video coming soon.

I just got done installing a set of DK Customs Thunder Torque Inserts on my 05 883c with stock A/C and SE II slip ons with no baffles. I went with the W158s. The install was very simple and came with good directions. I just had to drill out my holes a little bit and the inserts bolted up no problem. I tried the inserts in 3 different positions, forwards, backwards, and sideways. I really didnt notice any difference in sound or any improvement in torque. So I'm not sure what else to try or do with these. I do plan on a stage 1 a/c and some carb jetting but may also look into getting full baffles from Big City Thunder and see how they work or just save up for some V&H side/short shots. Anyone one care to share your result on the DK Customs Thunder Torque Inserts and what positions you've tried?
Thanks,
Dave

Do Torque Inserts
I just got done taking out my DK torque inserts part number W 158 because I got no production like I was told. Turns out I ordered the wrong size for my SE slip-ons and got the W 258 which fit much better, I have more torque now and with baffles out, inserts in much better tone. I recommend this product for anybody who wants to remove your baffles work great.
