Default Would anyone trade in their Sportster 1200C for a Fat Bob?

I bought a 2012 Sportster 1200C this year. But I am thinking my final destination would be a Fat Bob. I bought the Sportster as the answer my Kawasaki Voyager touring bike - too big and too heavy. I have both bikes.

The Sportster is very easy to ride, nimble, fast, and light. But now I think its too small.

I regret not test riding the Fat Bob.

Anybody venture a comparison of the Sportster 1200C to the Fat Bob?

Only if it was an '08 with mid controls. After that you have to replace all kinds of parts to install mids.

I have both. My sporty is a street tracker, but it started out as a 1200R.
If I could only have one, it wouldn't be the sporty. By a long shot.
The Fat Bob isn't any faster, but it's fun/comfortable enough to ride all day. Sportys are a two hour bike. Ride somewhere an hour away, stop for lunch, ride back.

I rode a Street Bob with mids and it felt more cramped than my Custom with forwards. Dyna's really aren't that much bigger.

I had a Sporty. I had the same questions you did. Purchased a Fat Bob two years ago and have never looked back. Good luck with your decision.

I test drove a 2010 Fat Bob once. I rode nice. More stretched out than a C model with forwards. The bike felt a lot bigger though when at slow speeds. The only thing I liked about it more than my bike was the color. Denim white.
