Default Brake light - hand lever works, foot pedal doesn't.

So I just noticed that when I press my front brake, the brake light comes on, but when I press my rear brake it doesn't. Any suggestions as to what could be causing this?

Rear brake light switch probably went bad, very common. You can get a replacement at an auto parts store if you don't have access to a dealer. Be sure to bleed your brakes after you change it, to get rid of any air bubble in the system. Mine was super easy to replace.
