Thumbs up This stuff works like magic. [Product review]

My 2008 XL883 had some signifcant pitting onthe lower forks.
(previous owner didn't really pay attention to such things)
No real rust, but clearly some degree of oxidation going on.

I stumbled accross a youtube demo video showing this "Cycle Care Formulas Formula M" restoring some pitted forks.
I decided to give it a try.

Here's the stuff I used:

Here are my forks before:

Here are my forks after:

A side by side comparison:

I'm figured the "M" stood for motorcycle... but perhaps it stands for magic!
A marked improvement.
I am pleased.

Here's the youtube video I found:

And here's alink to the product:

Wow. I'm going to need to pick some of that up. My forks are really pitted too and i've tried a few metal polishes with not so much luck. Thanks for posting this

While your forks look like a marked improvement and very nice, especially considering what they started as, I'd venture to say there are many polishes out there that would achieve the same results. This is not a knock to the polish you used (Formula M), but the results are a product of the Scotchbrite and your labor moreso than the actual polish used.

That's no doubt true.
The SOS pads were clearly a major player here.
