Default Thinking of going to a 21 laced front wheel, advice and suggestion wanted

Hey, i have a 05 883 Low, looking to upgrade my 19 inch laced wheel to a 21 inch laced wheel. Ive read the most affordable way of doing this is to buy new spoke and a new hub, but im having a hard time finding parts kit to do this. Also im wondering what the stock tire size is on a 21 inch front wheel and if anyone who has one can tell me if it handles any differently than a 19 inch front tire . Thank you

With a 90/90-21 front tire, your handling & braking will be worse. Look for someone that wants to trade.

Run away far!!!! The 21 sucks... It's actually a 80/90/21...

I had one and I swapped it for a 19in laced.

It was a huge upgrade.

I'm old school and I love the spoked wheel. Anyone make a reasonably priced front wheel for an 06 Sporty? Can't get used to the look of the alloy !

not shure where the idea of a 21 not being able to corner comes from. seems like mine holds great! I cant even get to the chicken strip before I start grinding parts off.
19's are good too! Might be just the feel.

The difference in handling and cornering with a 19" vs 21" are like night and day. It's all about the size of the tire's contact patch on the road, which is much larger with the wider 19" wheel and tire. I used to go through 21" front tires every 7,000 miles, but with the fatter 100/90-19, I'm getting 20,000+ miles.

I would never go back to a skinny front tire, they're made for looks, not performance.

99% of the time its not the vehicles problem but the driver, my 21" runs fine, then again I'm not a pusher, enough trashing of bikes & stuff.

Metzlers make the ride much better than the Michilins I replaced.

Take care,

.
