So doing my wire tuck and noticed a connector coming from the loom with nothing connected to it? It sits on the right hand side of the frame (two plugs together)....?
I am thinking its what they call VOES...?? The California emissions thing? Now mine was a UK sold bike so am I right in saying it would never of had that fitted and it's just a standard loom....?

Post a picture of the connector, and if you can see what color the wires are going in to it, that will be helpful as well.
I doubt it's your VOES, as the bike would run like crap w/out the VOES working properly.
I'm pretty sure I've got something plugged in there on my 02. If you don't get an answer by the end of the day, I'll look when I get home this evening.
I think there is something in the aircleaner on CA bikes that that is supposed to plug to. Makes sense to only make one type of wiring harness. I've got several unused plugs on my Ford Ranger as well.
