Default Question regarding 05 883 low

I sent a customer out a turn signal relocation kit. He is telling that on this bike the turn signal and the chrome bracket on the side of the fender are one peice, havent heard of this before. Can anyone confirm this for me?

I have an 07, but on mine that's not true. It has a weird double male bolt that connects the turn signal to the bracket/fender and it take some figuring out to get off.

thanks for the input....how much figuring out are we talking. If you look at it does it look like one piece?

my 06 is the same as Cripple's. I suspect the customer is missing something. I've relocated both front and rear on mine.

Check this one on ebay. 261172446410 Looks like it may be. Some good pictures. I know my extensions I could see a line but the picture or assembly may just hide it. Easy to see why someone could think it is one piece.

Not true. I've got my 2006 1200L all tore down for Paint and mods and was able to get a picture for you. As far as I know the same signals were used on 2004 thru 2007 or 2008 maybe.

To have the stem separate from the signal, the fender strut has to be removed from the bike. Then you'll see the bolt from the inside of the strut, that goes thru the stem and into the signal.

You remove the nut inside the fender, then you have a little room to fit a wrench behind the chrome strut cover ant there's a hex shaped part you unscrew and the turn signal will come off. If I'm remembering right.

The rear turn signals on my 2009 XL883L are definitely two piece. Their relocation was the easiest part of the Viking Bag installation project.

I relocated the turn signals on my 2005 XL1200R and that is exactly the same as mine were attached. I'm pretty sure that's across the entire line of the '05 Sportsters.
