Irons and 48's??
 

I don't mean to be disrespectful at all but what is with the big craze with the irons and 48 I dont get why people are going so crazy for them... there what 11 grand brand new at a dealership....you can buy a used dyna for that again...im not trying to offend anyone

My brand new 2013 iron at the dealer was somewhere off the top of my head between $8300 and $8600 OTD after everything was said and done (paid cash). Not 11k, and not used.

If people wanted a dyna they would buy a dyna. Oviously those who ride sportsters wanted a sportster. Why aren't you on a dyna then?

I like sportys because they are really light, you can ride the hell out of them like a dirtbike, lane split like nobody's buisiness, brand new isn't going to break the bank, huge following so parts are plentiful and not overly expensive, easy to mod and make badass, and it's not a huge heavy beast like a dyna. Overall it's just what I wanted. And no used bike that I can get for cheap is going to persuade me otherwise.

Exactly. And why is a guy that owns an 883 sporty asking what The craze is about 48 and iron Sportys? I don't get it, but I don't mean to be disrespectful.
