Switching Front Ends

Can I switch a 2000 Nightrain front end with a 2002 Sportster front end?

yes & no.

It'll take a very little bit of work and fit just fine. You will have to address the steering stop issue (no big deal) and that's about it. BUT, the neck stem to fork tube offset is greater on a 39mm front end. This will change your trail. Next is the length. A Night Train fork is significantly longer. You can lower the crap out of it to get it to level out but you lose so much travel, the dampening is basically gone.
