2000 sportster

Last year I bought a 2000 sportster 883. They said it had a screaming eagle 1200 conversion done at harley. What would they have done? What else should I do for more power and torque.

They would have simply replaced the jugs & pistons and rejetted the carb.

Did they not include heads for the carbureted models? The newer kit comes with Heads and an Intake as well as Jugs and Pistons.

If your looking for more power, I would start with doing a compression test and leak down. Then, if you find your engine is healthy, Exhaust, Air Cleaner, Cams and a tune. The Basics.

It would have been installed by a dealer, by the sound of it. If you know who the dealer is they may be able to give you more details.

I'm from nh. I think it was done in a dealership in New York. It has the screaming eagle air filter and Vance Hines pipes.

All depends on how much $$$ you wanted to spend, but yes, they could have done heads too, but I doubt it.
