[quote=c0jones;11554028]Without dual front discs, it doesn't deserve the "R".
Uh, ok.
Mid controls came on base model XL883 (& many others).
Yep. So?
That exhaust only came on '02-'03 883R,
not '05½-'13 883R nor '04-'09 1200R.
Duh? It's a rigid mount bike, I wouldn't expect it to have the exhaust from a rubber mount. It's also the major clue that stuff was swapped from an 883R.

Still trying to figure out the point of this post....

Most "R"s didn't (& still don't) come with 2into1 exhaust.
Mid controls are far from unique to the "R"s.
The only thing that sets "R"s (& 1200S) apart from other Sportsters is dual front disc.
My bike has a SuperLow front fender, but I wouldn't add an "L".
My front wheel has a Blackline rear rim, but I wouldn't call it a Softail.
I'm sure other 883R/1200R (& even XLCR/XR1000/XR1200) owners understand me.

I'm trying really hard to understand you but can't. It doesn't matter what the OP calls it, it is what it is.....a Sportster, and it looks AWESOME.

Love dual front brakes. They have some major stopping power compared to single caliper. I've tested slamming these things on at highway speed on a couple occasions and they work. I'm not a chrome junkie ie love black wrinkle engine finish as well. Mines a 2006 but I get alot of how old is your bike and when I say 06 they say wow I thought it was a lot older style wise.

If you don't like chrome, then why get saddlebags with all those chrome studs? I am not a fan of chrome either, so I used a lot of plasi dip and paint.
