I received mine from a good friend. That lives a long distance from me. I don't really buy into all the legends...etc etc etc. But every time I wash my bike, or even glance down under the voltage regulator and see that bell. I think about a really good biker buddy, that wishes me well.

Ok...if that's gay...then I guess so is greeting a buddy with a biker handshank and hug.

Guess I'll just have to paint my bike Pink...............

NOT!!!

I carry horseshoes and throw them over my shoulder when riding for good luck. That seems to work.

I'd hate to be behind you.

Hey, it does work. I'm mere seconds ahead of accidents all the time!

I just bought mine this morning. Had no idea of the legend until I paid for it and the lady told me she was giving me the story card. As a chick, I think it is very cool.

I went through hell with my last Sportie. The bike literally saved my butt. A bell wouldn't have mattered. That damn 883 was a bad boy.

We all have a little superstition of some sort I would imagine. I have one, given by a fellow biker. I don't know if it protects me but, if I ever loose it, I will start to feel uncomfortable.

Carry a BIBLE and read it at stops, you will feel more comfortable the moment you start reading.

Ohhh! That clears up a little mystery that's been bothering me for a while:

My ex-girlfriend had a cat named "Belle" and one day when she was going out of town she came over to my place to ask me to look after her cat. Well, what with one thing and another I wasn't paying much attention until she put her shirt back on and I thought I heard her telling me to tie Belle to the swingarm of my bike, so I did.

When she got back in town I told her I had done what she wanted and she asked, "Did the noise keep the demons away?" And I told her the noise was pretty bad for a while, but right now the stink was keeping even me away from the bike... we broke up just after that and I've always wondered why.
