Installing detachable plates and sissy bar
 

My parts finally came in and was wondering if I can install it...I have tried Youtube, but couldn't find anything...the docking hardware didn't come with any instructions...I think if I can figure that out, everything else will be easy...

I have a 2006 Sportster XL883...

Parts:

- Detachable side plates - (53913-04)
- Sissy bar - (52754-04)
- Docking hardware - (53529-04)

Is this easy to install? Any tips? Video's?

I think that if you go to the H-D Part and Accessories website, then look up the docking hardware, they have the installation instructions that you can download.

Its pretty straight forward and very easy. The docking hardware replaces the Remove the front and rear fender support screws on the rail, put the docking point on and the longer bolts through. The thicker of the 2 docking points goes to the rear and the smaller sits in the spot closest to the seat.

Put the bike on the lift to do it. That takes the excess weight off those points plus gives you more room under the fender to work.

It's very easy, you can download the installation page from HD though.

I downloaded the instruction sheet from HD...it took maybe 10 mins...thanks for the help!!!
