not the greatest pics, but you can see how high its lifted with 13" shocks.

for touring, this is the way to go.

I've not measured them. I believe HD shocks run 1/4 inch shorter than claimed. So anywhere between 12.75-13.0 inches.

Since you carry a passenger, I think you'd get serious bang-for-your buck out of these. Granted, I just came from stock nightster shocks so i'm easily impressed.

If you don't like the height or dampening, you could always add/remove air and change to different oil. Being able to customize the shock was a deciding factor for me.

holy crap! the Nightster looks f*cking BAD *** raised off the ground!!!! it looks absolutely beautiful from every angle!!! i love this bike!! especially the clipons!

and all that stuff strapped to it? priceless! thats how my bike looks when i take it for trips!

stock nightster = ugly,

stock nightster with clipons and rear end raised = one of the best looking sporties ive seen.

others' results are here: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/sportster-models/279712-road-king-shocks-on-sportster.html

joe those aren't clip-ons. i inverted the stock bars. to be honest, its too much drop. i'm thinking of buying a bender and making a set of sport/touring bars. i like the down-turn from the risers because when on the highway i lock the throttle, lay down on the tank bag, and hold onto the drops like an old board-tracker. feet go on the passenger pegs. i can almost sleep in that position.

i'm probably gonna go with an 18" rear wheel and get rid of that big fat monster up front. after riding with a coupla vintage racers this weekend, i'm convinced fat tires are not for me. big round skinnies are where its at.

Do you need a different sidestand with this set up? Does the bike lean over too much.
