Surely you'll have to extend it? That's what I anticipate on mine, with RK (12-3/4") shocks.

More info is needed first. How much you weigh and what kind of riding do you do? I am 164# and the softest setting is too squaty and bouncey. The stiffest setting is only used when I load the bike to near GVWR. When it has me and about 200# more crap on it it rides like a dream on the stiffest setting so you probably have it set too stiff for one up unless you weigh 400#.

Are you a straight liner or do you hit the curves a lot? If you weigh 150-175 the mid setting will be perfect. Anyhting less is too squaty, anything more and you better have some extra weight on there or it will be a rough ride like you are reporting.

If you put suspension on the rear that has a lower spring rate at a lesser setting than stock it will just bounce too much and will be dangerous in a curve if there is a rough spot.

Let us know weights and ride style. Just throwing something at your bike that someone might use who lives in the mountains of NC will not be good for someone who is in Nebraska.

Ever tried those? I've been thinking those will be my next investment, but I have yet to hear any reviews.

I put the 12" air shocks off a screamin eagle street glide on mine, works well. I have another set I am going to sell since so many people are using them now.

I guess I lucked out when I ordered them from Amazon. I had a cash back reward from my credit card that i used and only paid $95. shipped to my door for them. They should be mounted in the next week or so. Nice Merry Christmas from Amazon?
