What did you do to Your Sportster Today?

2010 Iron v. 2012 Iron
Today I didn't do much to my Sportster, largely because I ain't got one yet. I am purchasing one this week, however, and I'd love your thoughts on the following dilemma: 2010 Iron w/ 2300 miles ($6,000) v. 2012 Iron w/ 1100 miles ($6,200). The only two differences I've been able to identify thus far are 1) 2012 has a seat that's .4" taller than the 2010, and 2) 2012 has a curved HD logo versus a straight one on the 2010. Which would you pick, and why?

the bikes are pretty much the same price, i can't see any reason to chose the older bike with twice the miles
good luck with your purchase

I changed the primary oil, checked the chain for the half inch bend. Changed the derby gasket and o-rings.
I beat the tar out of a bored out T-27 torx bolt on the clutch cover (I didn't bore it out, I bought it that way)... I will be replacing those t27 torx with something else. Those suck.
I shined the cast aluminum wheels with a red 3m pad and some Mystery oil.
I took aluminum foil and water and got the surface rust off the pipes.
I ordered a new air filter, a new 90 degree angle rubber gas tank connector. Took off the tank, emptied old gas and cleaned the screen.
Waiting on a new set of keys.
Upcoming: Battery install, handlebar swap, front fender painted, crank her up, oil change, spark plug change, new tires, ride!

I love the bike. Once I get my big boy pants, A nightster is my next... or an 883 Iron with a 1200 conversion.

Not today but last month
Daughter wanted saddle bags for her 1200 low which we got her for Christmas, I didn't like the options for rear turn signal relocation so after some searching I found that I could do what we really wanted to do and installed the Street Glide rear signals.
Very pleased with the result.
