Congrats on the new bike. Sub 500 pounds with a 11.5:1 comp rotax should be a hoot.

Well I did not do anything to/for the bike today, but waiting for it to show up....

I'm how 'fully' here in my new 'home area' near Newport, TN just in
case the bikes show up from the HaulBikes transport service earlier
than was indicated...

It might be a week, it might be more.... <shrug> I really do have
other 'stuff' to take care of in the meantime. Like getting a TN license. :)

Well, Screaming Eagle Spark Plug wires - black w/orange letters.
HD Loud Horn, chrome ring - more for form than function.
Deep cleaning - except the PITA chrome wheel spokes.
Engine & transmission oil change - coming soon :)

I did a mini service on the 2008. It has done 22,000 miles in our possession of around 6 years.

Change both fluids, filter, clutch adjustment, check primary chain and grease up neck bearings. Check a few fasteners.

Nice. It's hard to tell from the picture, but is there some custom lacing on the front wheel ?
ie) similar to those from HDWheels ? http://hdwheels.com/Gallery.htm

thanks,

T.

Removed the lower engine stabilizer link and frame bracket on the 1200 Custom. The chrome replacement parts will be here the first of next week.

I've already replaced the upper engine mount with a V-Twin chrome mount and link. The kit I have coming has both upper and lower link frame mounting brackets, so I will replace the upper frame bracket too when the kit gets here the first of next week.

Somebody stop me...:D

Sounds like you're having fun, so why stop ? :) I looked up a pic you posted of the 1200.
Looks like you could add some chrome fork sliders as well as some chrome side covers too. ;)
Where does it stop ? Only you decide....

Post some pics of those chrome frame mounts when you get them installed.

thanks,

T.

Why stop... don't need to be spending the money as I'm wanting to retire sometime soon. I turn 68 in December...

I agree chrome sliders would be nice and I have them on the blue SuperLow but, I think the last big expense on the bike will be painting the black side covers to match the Velocity Red Sunglo paint on the tank and fenders.
