bought some biltwell Frisco bars for an awesome price online. got home and swapped the willie G gas cap for a flush mount pop up cap. swapped my original scuffed up aluminum brake and clutch lever for new black powder coated ones. swapped the harley chrome handlebar clamp for a black DK customs one with dummy lights integrated. that also eliminated the temporary DK customs dummy light plate that looked out of place and exposed all the wires.

My welding sucks but I'm okay with that. Gotta learn somehow.

I've made almost all of this from old metal I've got laying in the "scrap heap" out back of my shed.

Here's the almost complete mock-up. (I welded the bottom hinge strap on after this picture) I have to fabricate and weld on the top hinge strap and do some minor mods and then it will be road tested prior to putting on the upholstery.

looks good and small holy hell lol

Any fitment issues with that pop up cap. I got one from Fleabay and it came with 3 rings. Ended up with the flat one as the o ring is too thick and causes it to bind side ways then you can't get the center to pop up or down. The only one that works 'right' is the larger flat one and I'm not sure it seals well. :/

Got my screen today so with the rain setting in and some Monday night bs on TV it's a perfect time to hit the garage.
Works well. I like the adjustment for it but it's almost too many. Also thinking my handlebar might not be exactly centered.

Installed! It's simple but not easy. Always looks 'off' in some direction. Also have not tested it so unsure of how the rake is.

It's nice and 'small' compared to others.

And it's simple to take off if you can stand leaving the mounts on the bar

Fits both speedo and tach on the roadster.

Silvrscoobie... Its not totally flat and yea i had to remove the two flat rings. Using the thicker ring and i guess itl take a while to fit in. Nonissues screwing it down yet

I used the thick ring for a while, but it would not push down far enough to get it to turn all the way to pop up (same down).
switched to the thin ring, larger diameter, and havent had an issue since. I think the thicker ring gets partially pushed inside the cavity and makes it lean and causes the plunger to get stuck. Probably could get a new ring from Ace/Lowes/HD.

A lot more functional than a fly screen you were considering. Looks good too. Now you can enjoy the ride.

Why do I see what looks like a pre-unit Trumpet in the background?
