I finally put 944's on my RK and the air shocks on the nightster with a handle bar gauge(HD liqfilled) & filler valve. It was the best ride on any HD we every had on our country road. set at 44#, while riding it will go past 60 and peg. 270# rider and 160# pass..Hope the RK is better now too.

I needed to get a couple grease zerks so I took the bike. I live pretty far from anywhere with big stores and the local hardware did not have what I needed so a ride it was going to be.

There was a couple crews working on winter damaged roads and my detour took me past a couple stores that might have what I needed but neither had them. So I took another route home and stopped to get gas after 90 miles of detours and re routes. Went in to pay and found a 20 spot on the floor. There were many people in line so I asked if anyone lost any money and of course some dude says he did. I asked him how much and he asked what did ya pick up. I told him I was not born yesterday, I might be nice but I aint dumb. He gave me the stank eye and I gave him the do you really want to further this look.

Was a great day. 90 miles and I made $20.00.

Got some bada** pegs today!! No more foot slipping

I cheated on her today...

HD Demo truck was at the local dealership. Went and rode a few bikes:

Dyna Low Rider: nice and smooth, power to spare, even less nimble than I expected, and the ergos with the stock forward-ish mids suck donkey balls - needs forwards BAD. So quiet and smooth I couldn't figure out when to shift.

CVO Road King: Really nice on the highway - if I rode there all the time I'd want one. Couldn't figure out how to get my feet to fit on the floorboards naturally. Never felt like I could find the rear brake, and I kept bumping up against both shifter pegs. Also couldn't figure out when to shift, too quiet and smooth.

Heritage Classic: Not quite as smooth as the other two - felt more like a Harley should to me. Best ergos of the three, very comfortable riding position. Floorboards felt totally natural, didn't bump into the shifters inadvertently at all. Made just enough noise that I knew when to shift without looking for a tach.

Wife called and asked me to meet her and my daughter for lunch. Hopped back on the Sporty, with its carb, loud pipes, noisy motor and vibrations. And was again reminded of why I like riding my mistress so much!
