I know this is small potatoes for folks here who already have one but this new lift jack will make my life a lot easier. Really happy with the purchase. It's an inexpensive Motomaster model but seems well built, decent warranty if something goes wrong.

I got the pitbull and it does indeed make life easier. Especially when you have two bikes and it seems like you're always cleaning the wheels

These Motomaster lifts are great especially when they go on sale for 50% off. I bought one and it works great. I had to modify mine a bit to make it fit under the frame of my XL12ooT. As you may be able to see I cut away the support rod welded between the lift pads and moved them to the outside of the lift arms. I used threaded rod to re-attach the lift pads on the outside of the lift arms and cut the rear rod long enough to run right through to regain the support the red welded cross member gave before I cut it away. It has a slightly wider more stable stance now and fits under the frame better.

Actually that's pretty cool. I had to go through cvaria's thread today to see pics of where he puts the arms on the frame. Having the arms wider apart would be great. As it is, I had to put the end of one arm against the rubber kickstand stop and the bike is not centered on the arms. Tied down, it's not moving but still, could be better. Thanks for showing that mod. |
Increase your Sportster's carrying capacity!

Here's a shot of my bike with the saddle men bags mounted behind my Solo swingers bags. I fabricated custom mounting brackets to enable both sets of bags to be mounted simultaneously. It's not terribly attractive but it increases my carrying capacity on longer hauls. The rear bags cam be removed separately by removing two bolts. I usually run with only the solo bags mounted in front of the shocks.
