New bushings, mini ape bars and new slim grips installed last night. The blinker relocation should be in to clean up the bars some.

These were fun. Had to slot and pound on them. My easy out broke off in one and my wobble head allen broke in the other. They are slotted until i get my new ones lol

I installed mini apes last night from buckhorns and all the cables and wires are good. I was surprised. I moved the throttle cables outside the forks to be safe but probably not needed.

Did a ton of stuff over the past few days. I went on a marathon. It was a blast. (Excuse the mess in the basement, it was a ****-show)

New rear tire. New gas lines and filter. Drained all of the old gas and ran a tank of 93 to see how she handles it (just bought the bike. Had old gas in it). 7 hours of polishing various parts (my hands hurt). Wired in new rear turn signals. Re-wired all connections behind the headlight. Tuned the carb. New oil/filter. New brake pads. Oiled chain.

Now it's time to ride. (Will adjust headlight when i get her out in the dark)

I installed the Vintage on my 2018 Iron, nice seat, comfy, but, it put me back too far from bar (I'm vertically challenged). Went with a LePera this one has more pad than the OEM and put's me in the same position as the OEM. Hope that helps.

Then I spent way to much time making this POS brake light mount for my sissy bar

And a mock up, hopefully will weld up tomorrow.

UPDATE:

Finished it up today just in time to ride to the Deadbeat Retreat this weekend!

Replaced the clutch perch as the old one was cracked. Lubed the cable a little while i had it apart.

Good to go. My only parts left are the signal relo kit for the front to clean up the bars.

Son of a Diddley!
Went to install my new bars (TC Bro Lane Splitters) after I got my Black Pearl lines (08 Roadster, so i needed the special dual disc setup, which Magnum has a PERFECT OEM copy solution, in black, SS).
WELP, my clutch, and throttle cables are plenty long, but my wires are about 2" short. gosh darn it! So back to the Zeds until I decide what to do:
Sell the TCBros, install the SS brake lines, and give up
Fiddle with extending the wires, and go for the bigger bars.

I do LIKE how they sit, a bit wider, but a little taller. I could also remove the 1+1/2" risers and go to 1/2" risers to lower them a little, which would make them look less Apey, which is a plus. But I still dont think itll be enough for the wires.
I think the decision after all my work to get this far is to go for it, but maybe over the winter, when I have time to cut, solder, wrap the wires correctly, without worrying about being down riding time. Only get so much nice weather when im home in NJ.

Broke an exhaust stud July 4. Just got everything buttoned up today. The original goal was to install stock mufflers. I like the sound so much better! Heading out for the test ride shortly.
