I fitted Turn Signal Extension Caps HD-71500179 to my partners 2008 Custom and Turn Signal Extension Caps HD-71500177 to my 2017 SuperLow.

On my partners bike (trike) the previous owner broke the brake light switch so that was another job to do as well.

I didn't find it necessary to take the brake or clutch levers off the bike but heed the warning in the manual to wedge the levers open so the little push button switches don't get broken.

I like those. I have small hands and would make it easier to activate turn signals. Wonder if they come in chrome, now that I have replaced mine

The extended turn signal switches/activators is one of the first things I changed on my SuperLow. Like you, I have small hands/shorter fingers, and trying to two finger brake, blip the throttle to downshift, and activate the turn signal at the same time was a PITA.

I'm almost sure they come in chrome, hey it's only money...

I just ordered 2 sets for $18.00 , they are made in China but we will see. If they are good I'm going to order 3 more sets for my other HD's.

Ok I see Dennis Kirk and others sell them in chrome. They are added to my list. Wish I had seen those before, now have to do them twice.

Is there an easy way to do the throttle side? I did not look at the manual, honestly, but getting those cables back in were a pain. Is it addressed in the manual?

Thanks, but am not ready to order them just yet. Just replaced all of mine, and have other things to get done before I tear back into that.

To disconnect the throttle cables I just took all the adjustment out of them to make them as slack as possible. Using a small screw driver under the cable I moved it round to the ferrule to align the cable with the slot and pulled them out.

Before doing that I folded some card to be about 1/4" thick, operate the brake and wedge in the cardboard at the front of the lever.

You are best getting the guide for fitting the switch cap from the Harley.com website.

I registered and logged in to their service guides, but cannot find that info no matter what term I use. Suggestions?
