Default It's Alive! The FrankenSportster

I bought the donor (2000 XL883C) back in August of last year and have been steadily changing it to something entirely different looking. -2 Springer front end with Road King wheels and fuel tank. Custom fender from American Classic all painted in Hot Rod Flatz vintage burgundy pearl. Had to use bar risers a little taller than originally planned for the beach bars to clear the tank. Rode it for the first time yesterday. It's different, to say the least. My first springer front end and it handles a lot different than regular oil and spring front ends. First experience with the LAF pipes too, but found them not nearly as loud as expected. All in all, it's a pretty fun bike to run around town on. Won't be touring on it though...

I like it! I would change the seat springs to barrels. Those look funny.
