Scratching bikes is kinda like guitars. It gives character. Put some wax on it and leave it alone. Or. Just tell me to jump and fix it!

Depends on the scratch andding, some people see swirls on the tank and think the sky is fallen, others bragabout their dings and scratch and show 'em off while they tell theirwar stories. Can you post a pic???

Auto zone sells this thing that works on the principle of suction. THat may get the ding out. Worked on my now old and crappy mini van when it was new. Macquires swirl remover may work on the scratch. Ive used this many times. In fact just this past weekend. My oldest girl took something out of the bed of the Ram and put two nice scratches on the side of the bed. Swirl remover got it out with a little elbow grease.

Another thought is, I heard something about using dry ice to get the ding out ... maybe I saw the tip here ... if not here it was probably on the Dodgeforums.com site.

I just read an article last week on the dry ice thing for repairing hail damaged cages. The test results said that it was a pretty worthless exercise.
