Hi, I've got a 1986 Sportster. The turn signals won't blink. Replaced all 4 bulbs (confirmed right ones in front and back). Cleaned bulb sockets,mall look solid. Replaced turn switch module ($150!), still no change. Checked all 4 relays, all good. Pressing turn signal lights the turn signal lamp solid. Pressing both turn signals at same times results in nice flashing of both turn signals.
Any ideas what to check next?

e flash and turn have separate grounds so check the grounds. I had the same issue on my 883 had 5 feet of wire balled up under tire and was rubbed through.
snip snip solder shorted and route...all good

 

Make sure your battery is good and fully charged. I had an issue on a diffrent bike where at stop lights the signals wouldn't blink. Only stay solid. Ended up being a bad battery.

 

Firstly check that the bulbs you've used are the same wattage as standard, if they don't draw enough current the flasher module won't work correctly (hence why when you hit the hazards they flash, more load)

If there were a short I wouldn't expect them to light at all.

 

These signals are not working properly.
