Default Baffle on catted pipes

Can I use the hole saw method on the opening of the pipes with catted pipes on a 14 iron.

Just used a 1 1/2 inch deep cut bi-metal hole saw and a drill press to drill out the cats on my XL1200T. Went very slow in drilling. It seems to free up the running/power without a lot of sound difference.
