You don't uses tranny fluid on a sporty, you use a primary fluid such as H-D Formula plus!!! Pretty sure its 32oz, but I'd call a dealer first to make sure.

He didnt use tranny oil. He used "mobil 1 75/90" I assume gear oil. That's fine. You're supposed to fill until it just touches the bottom of the clutch. My 88" 2000 FLSTC took about 1.25 qts. From dead bone dry.

I guess I did the wrong thing..I changed the transmission fluid already! What kind of primary oil should I use? Like what brand and what type? And what part of the bike is at?

Buy a Service Manual....

I have never understood why guys will start tearing into a service or repair when they have no clue how to do it.

I have been wrenching on these things for 40 years and still refer to a service manual regularly.

Your Sporty shares the same oil for the Primary where the clutch is and also the transmission. The typical 75w90 synthetic GL5 oil has EP slip agents that may just make your clutch slip and shorten it's life. These agents, also are very corrosive to any bronze type of bearings or materials. You really need to get the proper type of lube from the dealer. Get two. Dump the 75-90 and refill. Drive 20 miles round trip and change it again. No big deal. It's in your owners manual (must have and read) , YouTube and on here . You do not need a service manual for general maintenance but it is a good thing to have if you plan on keeping bike. And also welcome from Hampton Roads Virginia....

This is not true for Mobile 1 75w90 that the OP used, I've got over 100,000 miles running Mobil-1 75w-90 in my Sporty primary/tranny.

Your information is only true for SOME GL-5 oils.

Read more about the truth and myths HERE.

And to the OP, your primary/tranny takes 1 quart.

Need to have a service manual. One of the first things you should have bought. As Ripsaw said YouTube has videos and I have used them before but I wouldn't personally do maintenance without the manual.
