That, I'm unsure of. I've read some posts here, real quick, answering your question. It seems like a "plug and play" swap. Some people say you need a dealer flash...some say you don't.

It is my understanding that the radio coming out of a special is setup for front speakers only. If I put it on my ultra which also has rear speakers that they would not work without having the dealer reflash for the rear speakers. I prefer to find one out of an ultra to avoid a visit to the dealer.

It is a direct plug and play, there are shops that can do the flash for less than $50. I had John at J&M do it at the Lone Star Rally last year.
