How to carry a campaign hat

are there any Drill Sergeants out there who ride to work and have found a good way to carry the hat with them? I ride a dyna with smaller leather hard bags that will not fit the hat.

A brother of mine from Texas made sort of a smaller version of a tour pack - it was to carry his cowboy hat - might work for you Sarge - Eastcoast Jim
